How to cut Pet's Nail
- Find a quiet area where your pet is comfortable and free from distractions.
- If you have a small pet, hold your pet in your lap or place them on a steady surface. If you have a large pet, it's helpful to have another person hold your pet while you cut their nails.
- Gently but firmly hold one of your pet's paws between your thumb and forefinger.
- Push down slightly on the paw pad to extend the nail forward. Make sure there is no fur blocking your view of the entire nail.
- When your pet is holding still, clip straight across the tips of the nail. Do not clip behind the natural curve of the nail.
- Give lots of tasty treats before, during and after to associate nail trims with rewards
