Disappointed with Quality and Workmanship
Aesthetically, this bed is so attractive and met my requirements, I thus made my first on-line furniture purchase. Unfortunately the quality does not match up and the follow up service was stressful.
Workmanship is terrible on the inside, poor quality wood used with the alignment of the drawers off. I had to write in to Forty Two to ask for a replacement - they were very prompt and friendly in response but their supplier's response was BAD - no calls, no appointment, no replacement. Their supplier's reps popped in to my home in the evening after a week of my first call to Forty Two, without any appointment or call (even though Forty Two told me they would). I thought it was to view and confirm the defects and they would send a replacement thereafter but unfortunately it was a fix-it man who came with tools to just fix the drawers' alignment. I was even pressured in a way into accepting this bed after the tweaking of the nuts and bolts inside the drawers. Since the rectification has somewhat improved the functioning of the drawers, there is still a panel of pink that could not be re-aligned, I reluctantly accepted it because I needed a bed frame for some time. However, I am unsatisfied with the quality of wood used and the workmanship that was shoddy. In other words, outside looks good, inside don't look. -
Love the looks.
A bit pricey for a single bedder. Unique outlook though.
