A Brief History of FortyTwo
FortyTwo (previously BEDS.sg) first went "live" in September 2007 with barely 60 products under four mattress brands and four categories of beds.
6 years and over 70,000 satisfied customers later, we're now one of the largest furniture retailer in Singapore, and an authority on Home & Decor issues in Singapore with the FortyTwo Magazine.
We've expanded our product range to include more than 8,000 items under an ever-broadening range of mattresses and furniture, which includes everything from the bedroom to the kitchen.
We have come a long way to finally become the current biggest home furnishing ecommerce site in Singapore with more than 100,000 visitors a month.
Why the Rebrand?
BEDS.sg was rebranded into FortyTwo on 1 May 2013.
We started the company in 2007, selling beds and mattresses. Clearly this is not currently true. As part of our expansion aspirations, we have decided that the name BEDS.sg does not correctly represent us anymore.
We are moving towards being a mass merchant. We hope that FortyTwo will be the name that pops up immediately in the heads of all shoppers whenever it comes to thoughts about getting anything conveniently.
According to contemporary pop culture, it is said that the number "42", is the answer to life, the universe and everything. FortyTwo is our future. Our reputation in customer service excellence will stay firmly rooted as we continue adding new and exciting products; Our customers will be spoilt for choice with the wide variety of products to choose from.
