Product Highlights
Dahlia extends Chilewich’s innovative molded technique beyond the first circle of experimentation. Acting more like a charger than a placemat, plates will sit surrounded and enhanced by its intricate openwork. Part of Chilewich’s collection of “pressed” designs, it is delicate in appearance yet surprisingly resilient: a contemporary take on the ancient craft of lacemaking.
Product Description
Designed with beauty, functionality, and longevity in mind, Chilewich table mats wipe clean and retain their like-new appearance through many years of use, indoors or out. The collection is free of phthalates and easy to clean with soap and water. “The textures, patterns, and colors of our mats become the first layer upon which everything else sits,” says founder and creative director Sandy Chilewich. “They set the tone for a table.”
Chilewich pressed mats also contain Microban® antimicrobial protection. This is particularly beneficial for the home and hospitality markets. Microban® works continuously for the lifetime of the product to inhibit the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew.

Why Chilewich Table Mat
Chilewich prides itself on cutting-edge design. All Chilewich designs are original designs and protected by copyright. The Chilewich design studio is located in New York City. In 2000 New York designer Sandy Chilewich introduced her first woven textiles to the international design community under the brand name "Chilewich." The majority of the Chilewich collection is made from woven extruded vinyl yarns in the USA. Chilewich fabrics are also covered by the GreenGuard® program, which protects human health and quality of life through the reduction of chemical exposure and improved indoor air quality. TerraStrand™, the proprietary name for Chilewich yarns, is 100% phthalate-free and contains 25% renewable vegetable content. Using this renewable, bio-based compound results in a 40% reduction in greenhouse gases compared to other plasticizers.
